With full-on entertainment, Ranveer Singh-starter Simmba is creating magic on the silver screen not just in India but globally. The film is topping charts and is receiving positive reactions from the fans. The holiday release is making some great figures and in just five days, the film has entered the Rs 100-crore club and director Rohit Shetty, producer Karan Johar, and actor Ranveer Singh – all have shown their excitement in their own ways.

While at the domestic box-office, the film has grossed over Rs 100 crore, Simmba has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark. While on the fifth day, its total collection from the overseas markets stood at $ 7.159 mn, which is equivalent to Rs 50.21 crore, the film has shown a considerable rise on its sixth day as well.

The film which opened to a collection of 88.58 lakhs on Friday. The film faced minor drops on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, later, witnessed phenomenal growth. Talking about day 6 i.e. Wednesday’s collection, Simmba has grossed the total of Rs 55.06 crore internationally. According to film critic Taran Adarsh, the film is excellent in USA-Canada, UAE-GCC, and Australia.

Ranveer Singh has four Rs 100 crore movies to his name. His last movie, Padmaavat was also a blockbuster hit. Simmba is Sara Ali Khan’s second movie following Kedarnath.

With the latest hit, Simmba, Rohit Shetty has eight consecutive films in the Rs 100 crore club. Shetty has made only 13 full-length films so far.

Rohit Shetty’s first Rs 100 crore movie was Golmaal 3 (2010) that made Rs 106.34 crore. The third film of the Golmaal series starred Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Shreyas Talpade, along with Johnny Lever, Ratna Pathak Shah, and Mithun Chakraborty.  The second movie to make it to the much-coveted club was the 2011 Ajay Devgn-starter, Singham that introduced Bajirao Singham to the audience.

From the looks of it, Rohit Shetty has figured out the way to make the audiences happy – commercial movies with a blend of drama, comedy, action and a hit song.
