Strengths:
Spinners
This time, the KKR full team has two veteran spinners in Harbhajan Singh and Sunil Narine. Varun Chakravarthy is also part of the KKR squad, and he proved his mettle last season with a brilliant display of bowling skills. Then, there is a match-winner like Shakib al Hasan in the squad. Even Kuldeep Yadav can be a crucial wicket-taker in some matches.
Foreign players
The KKR full squad has some of the best foreign players in the tournament. Andre Russell and Sunil Narine are good enough to win matches simply on their own. Lockie Ferguson and Pat Cummins have already shown why they deserve a place in KKR IPL team 2021 players list. Shakib has already been a part of match-winning teams of SRH and KKR. Weakness:
Wicketkeepers
Apart from Dinesh Karthik, Kolkata team 2021 players list has no well-known wicketkeeper. Though Sheldon Jackson can be seen as a good option, he is not as good a batsman as Karthik. Tim Seifert might be a good idea for the team. However, he is a foreign player and an opener, so the entire team structure will have to change to make room for him.
Opportunity:
Consider replacements for Sunil Narine
Sunil Narine’s performance has been rather dull in the past couple of years. The fact that he can score a wicket or two once in a while does not make him a great fit for KKR full team. If Gill and Tripathi are considered as an opening pair, Shakib can come in as Narine’s replacement. Ben Cutting can come into the squad as a seam bowler. He can also hit big in the lower order, which will help Russell.
Threats:
Andre Russell and Sunil Narine
The plan to send Narine as an opener has tanked more times than the fans can count. So, the KKR full squad really needs to sit down and reconsider this decision. If Narine is still their opener, and all the players get pushed down one position because of it, the batting lineup suffers. Though Andre Russell is one of the best names in world cricket at present, his fitness issues are a cause of worry.
